Welcome to our shop!

All our products are handmade from start to finish. We dye the cotton, weave and sew all our products within the framework of the Chetan Women's Skill Development Programme. During the hole process we make sure, that the labors rights, the traditional approach and the designs of Nepali Handicraft are preserved.

Production

Our raw cotton bundles are acquired at the local market. Whenever possible we dye the material with natural products, such as flowers, roots or herbs. Here you see the dyed cotton drying in the sun.

The cotton is placed on a manual loom to be weaved. They do not require electricity and can be placed everywhere. This gives us and the women a lot of flexebility regarding their workspace.

Once the materials are weaved into 8 meter long fabric bands we can start making the products.

The products are sewn on pedal sewing machines and after the quality check sold in our shop or exported.
